Brief update. Relatively uneventful couple of days. Sunday morning was church at NorthStar. Check out http://www.northstarknox.com for Scott's weekly message. There hasn't been a Sunday yet that I haven't learned something or received a special blessing from God at this church. Addie, Sam and I left a few minutes before Tom and Chelcie headed out the door. Drew went to WestLake to be part of the youth group he's grown up in for the past 8 years. After church, the big kids and Tom headed to Chattanooga for a mission trip meeting. Addie, Sam, and I enjoyed a lazy afternoon just hanging out watching Stuart Little. The day was rainy and damp. We made a quick trip to the mall to get Sam a couple of new bathing suits and some shorts.
I've been impatient with the two of them lately because they've gotten into the habit of continuously arguing. They are selfish and rude to each other and it hurts my heart. I want them to appreciate and look out for each other. Then again, what parent doesn't want their children to get along? I've been taken aback lately to hear Addie talking to Sam in the same tone I've used with her. Pick up your shoes! Why am I the one who always picks everything up around here?! Is it too hard for you to put your stuff in your room, or put the game away when you're finished playing it? Nag! Nag! Nag! Out of the mouths of babes! I gotta watch my mouth!
Today's pictures are of Addie and Sam at the fountain at Turkey Creek. The other pictures are of Drew and Dane enjoying a little homemade bread! They liked it! It made the house smell soooo good!
We're going to Dollywood tomorrow! Yee-Haw! It's summertime!
